BRAEBURN, EATING(DESSERT) APPLE TREE-Malus domestica BRAEBURN

This popular Apple tree originated in New Zealand in the late 1950’s and the Braeburn is one of the most favoured commercially grown Apple trees in that country. A medium sized tree Braeburn has an attractive green-yellow skin flushed with red making it one of the more visually appealing varieties favoured by supermarkets.
This crisp juicy apple has a rich complex flavour the sweet tasting slightly aromatic flesh of the Braeburn has taken it up amongst the most popular apples.This combination of colour and flavour of the Braeburn sets it apart from other types and is considered to be the first of the new’modern’ Apple trees.
Although an Apple tree that benefits from a warm climate for growth it is a reliable heavy cropping variety that is ready for picking late October and stores well.

We supply Braeburn as a one year old (Maiden)-link to plant size guide, bare rooted Apple trees grafted onto an MM106 rootstock. This will be a moderate spreading tree with an ultimate height of approximately 10-12ft. Braeburn is a heavy cropping tree benefitting from a warm climate.
