FALSTAFF, EATING(DESSERT) APPLE TREE-Malus domestica FALSTAFF

A more modern variety of Apple tree the Falstaff was developed in Kent in the 1960’s with particular attention paid to appearance it is thought to be one of, if not the, heaviest yielding Apple tree making it a firm favourite in the garden and comes highly recommended. The Falstaff produces a very attractive large fruit golden yellow in colour with a red flush which helps it to stand out from the crowd! The development of this Apple tree for the more up to date palate has also meant that the flesh is crisp and firm yet very juicy, the Falstaff Apple tree fruit gives a hint of many flavours both sweet yet slightly acidic makes this a very popular Apple tree both for eating and juicing. Ready to be picked October-March.

POLLINATION GROUP 3: Falstaff is partially self fertile but will produce heavier crops if planted with another variety from groups 2,3 or 4 (more details)-link to pollination at top of fruit page.

We supply Falstaff as one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Apple trees grafted onto an MM106 rootstock. This is an upright variety moderate in growth and resistant to frosts making it popular for growing in the North of the country. The approximate ultimate height is 10-12ft.

We recommend using Bone Meal and Rootgrow to give your new Apple tree a good start, these can be found on the left hand menu.Order any mix or combination of fruit trees in same size to qualify for multibuy discounts.
