LORD LAMBOURNE, EATING (DESSERT) APPLE TREE-Malus domestica LORD LAMBOURNE

The first Lord Lambourne Apple tree was first introduced in 1907 and was named after the president of the RHS in 1923 its similarity to the classic English apples led it to being awarded the RHS Award of Merit the same year. The pale yellow/green skin has a reddish flush and colourful stripes making the Lord Lambourne an attractive fruit. This Apple tree produces a uniformly shaped medium sized apple with creamy white, crisp flesh, it is also lightly scented, sweet and has delicate summery overtones of strawberry. The Lord Lambourne Apple tree is well suited for growing in the North and is a popular variety for its juicing qualities.

POLLINATION GROUP 2: Lord Lambourne is partially self fertile but would benefit from being planted with another Apple tree variety from groups 1,2 or 3.(more details)-link to pollination at top of fruit page.

We supply Lord Lambourne as one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Apple trees grafted onto an MM106 rootstock. This is a moderate growing upright spreading variety of Apple tree with an ultimate height of approximately 10-12ft and is ready for picking from Mid September.

We recommend using Bone Meal and Rootgrow to give your new Apple tree a good start, these can be found on the left hand menu.Order any mix or combination of fruit trees in same size to qualify for multibuy discounts.
