The Worcester Pearmain Apple tree originates as the name suggests from Worcester in the late 1800’s. receiving A First Class Certificate from the RHS in 1875. This Apple tree produces heavy crops early in September. Worcester Pearmain fruits have a firm and crisp white flesh with hints of strawberries in the flavour, they are amongst the most popular variety for juicing. The skin of the Worcester Pearmain apple is smooth and a green/yellow in colour with a topcoat of brilliant red. The fruits of this Apple tree provide a more distinct flavour if left as long as possible on the tree. The popularity of the Worcester Pearmain is now enjoying a revival owing to it’s suitability for growing in colder northern areas and it’s very attractive blossom.

POLLINATION GROUP 3: Worcester Pearmain is partially self fertile but benefits from being planted with other Apple tree varieties from groups 2,3 or 4 (more details)-link to pollination at top of fruit page.

We supply Worcester Pearmain as one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Apple trees grafted onto an MM106 rootstock. This will make an upright spreading tree with an ultimate height of approximately 10-12ft. Worcester Pearmain is a reliable and regular cropper and is highly resistant to mildew.
