The fruit from this variety of cherry are very dark red almost black in colour very sweet in flavour and are produced in abundance for harvesting from mid August. As a dessert fruit they are most excellent but can also be used in pies and flans.An added benefit of this variety is that it is resistant to canker.

COLNEY CHERRY TREE (DESSERT)-Prunus Avium COLNEY

The Colney Cherry tree produces very dark almost black fruits which are very sweet to taste. The heavy crops of this variety are ready to pick from Mid August they are also suitable for using in pies and flans. One of the benefits of the Colney Cherry tree are in its resistance to canker. This particular variety was given the RHS Garden of Merit Award in 2003.

POLLINATION: Colney requires pollination with either Stella, Summer Sun or Sunburst-(link to varieties).

We supply Colney as a one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Cherry tree grafted onto Colt semi-dwarfing rootstock which will make a tree with an ultimate height of 12-15ft.
