The traditional habitat providing food for Silkworms this small to medium sized tree thrives in any warm sunny situation with well drained soil. An excellent architectural specimen it has large bright green leaves which turn golden yellow in autumn with soft white fruits maturing through pink to red in September.

WHITE, MULBERRY – Morus alba MULBERRY WHITE
The White Mulberry tree is an excellent architectural small to medium sized tree and would add interest to any garden. They prefer a warm sunny spot with free draining soil. This variety of Mulberry has large glossy bright green leaves that turn yellow in autumn, they are also the traditional food for the Silkworm. The softer tasting sweet white fruits of the White Mulberry mature to pink then deep red in September. As with the Black Mulberry-(link with each variety) when harvesting place a sheet underneath the branches and shake the tree gently.
We supply White Mulberry at 3-4ft in height in 3 litre pots. The White Mulberry tree is not grafted and is therefore grown on its own roots.
