The Lord Napier Nectarine thrives well against a wall in full sun or can be grown in more northerly climes in a cold greenhouse. It is an old but popular variety producing large succulent fruit with crimson flushed skin which are best harvested in August.

The Lord Napier Nectarine is one of the most popular varieties of Nectarine tree and was first produced in Hertfordshire in the mid 1800’s. It is an early fruiting variety producing large fruits that have a crimson flushed skin and very juicy melting white flesh. The Lord Napier produces better crops if planted against a wall in full sun or if further North in a cold greenhouse. The fruits of the Lord Napier Nectarine tree are best picked in early August. The RHS have given the Garden of Merit Award for this Nectarine tree.
POLLINATION: Lord Napier is a self fertile variety of Nectarine tree and therefore requires no other pollinators.
