CONCORDE (DESSERT) PEAR TREE-Pyrus communis CONCORDE

The Concorde Pear tree is a cross between Doyenne du Comice and Conference-link to varieties originating in 1977 in Kent. This Pear tree is a heavy cropping compact variety producing fruits that are a pale green maturing to yellow with splashes of russet. The sweet tasting flesh of the Concorde Pear tree is also a pale yellow in colour and very juicy making it an excellent dessert pear and comes highly recommended. Crops from the Concorde Pear tree are ready to pick October-January.

POLLINATION GROUP 3: Concorde is a partially self fertile variety of Pear tree and will produce heavier crops if pollinated with another Pear tree variety from groups 2 or 3.

We supply Concorde as a one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Pear tree grafted onto a Quince A/Quince C rootstock. These are suitable for growing as fan shapes, espalier or as trees with an approximate ultimate height of 10-12ft.
