Tough compact easy to grow variety. Very reliable cropper and much favoured by commercial growers. The yellow green medium sized fruit harvested in mid August have the most delicious honey sweet flavour making it superb for deserts and jam making.

CAMBRIDGE GAGE TREE DESSERT (CULINARY) GAGE TREE-Prunus domestica CAMBRIDGE GAGE
The Cambridge Gage was grown commercially by Chivers & Son in Cambridgeshire from whence it originated. The Cambridge Gage is an extremely reliable cropper which is why it is so favoured by the commercial growers. The fruit of this Gage tree have medium sized yellowish green colouring with juicy sweet yellow flesh. The intense flavouring of this Cambridge Gage fruit make it eminently suitable for desserts or jam making. The Cambridge Gage fruit tree is a compact, hardy variety which can be grown easily in domestic gardens the fruits being ready to pick from late August.
POLLINATION: The Cambridge Gage tree is self fertile and therefore needs no other pollinators.
