IMPERIAL GAGE (DENNISTON’S SUPERB) TREE DESSERT GAGE TREE-Prunus domestica IMPERIAL GAGE (DENNISTON’S SUPERB)

Originally raised in New York in the U.S.A in 1790 and given the name Imperial Gage this Gage tree was renamed Denniston’s Superb after Isaac Denniston in 1835. The Imperial Gage (Denniston’s Superb) produces a small to medium sized yellowish fruit with a wonderful sweet flavour. The Imperial Gage or Denniston’s Superb is a heaving cropping variety of Gage with the benefit of being hardy. The fruits of Denniston’s Superb are usually ready for picking in August.

POLLINATION: The Imperial Gage tree is self fertile and therefore needs no other pollinators.

We supply Imperial Gage Tree as one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Gage trees grafted onto St Julian A rootstock. This will make a compact Gage tree with an ultimate height of approximately 10-12ft.

We recommend using Bone Meal and Rootgrow to give your new Gage tree a good start, these can be found on the left hand menu.Order any mix or combination of fruit trees in same size to qualify for multibuy discounts.
