OULLINS GOLDEN GAGE TREE DESSERT (CULINARY) GAGE TREE-Prunus domestica OULLINS GOLDEN

Discovered in the 1850’s The Oullins Golden Gage was named by a Monsieur Massot after the town in which he lived when he first started to sell the Gage tree commercially. Although a reliable but not particularly heavy cropper the high quality of fruit from the Oullins Gage makes it a firm favourite for the discerning palate. As the fruits of this particular Gage tree are slightly less juicy than others it makes it a favourite for freezing and or bottling. These fruits can generally be harvested from mid August.

POLLINATION: The Oullins Golden Gage tree is self fertile and therefore needs no others pollinators but can produce heavier more sustainable crops if planted with other varieties.
