This large growing noble conifer has shiny green foliage with a white underside which clothes the tiers of horizontal branches. An easily grown disease resistant species that is often used for non-drop Christmas trees.

These coniferous evergreens produce distinctive upright cones which are often bright shades of blue/purple when young. All have a conical habit of growth and will make very attractive specimen trees. Firs require a good moist soil for best development and so are unsuitable for chalk.
