A very neat, ornamental variety of fir with rich green foliage that has a gleaming white underside. The colourful blue-violet cones are produced in abundance even in quite young trees. A smaller, slow growing species.

These coniferous evergreens produce distinctive upright cones which are often bright shades of blue/purple when young. All have a conical habit of growth and will make very attractive specimen trees. Firs require a good moist soil for best development and so are unsuitable for chalk.
