This is a popular tree for city and coastal locations as it is very tolerant of pollution and windy exposed sites. It is a statuesque deciduous tree with bright green young leaves covering its broad head in spring turning yellow in autumn and the yellow spring flowers followed by the familiar winged fruits in autumn.
