A popular round headed small to medium ornamental tree which when the leaves uncurl the white undersides from a distance resemble a covering of flowers. The white flowers themselves appear in May followed by green berries which turn to a scarlet red in autumn.

Small to medium sized deciduous native tree with a compact round headed shape. The leaves are grey-white when young turning to green above and white beneath, gold and russet autumn colours. White flowers in early summer are followed by deep crimson fruits in autumn. One of the best small trees for exposed and coastal sites.
