The Zelkovas are trees of considerable beauty, the Japanese Elm has a graceful rounded spreading habit of growth. The smooth grey bark flakes on older trees. Toothed oval green leaves turn attractive shades of bronze and red in autumn. Thrives in any good moist soil, a very worthy medium sized tree that deserves to be more widely planted.
