Elaeagnus is a dense, rounded shrub, which makes it a great choice for particularly exposed or coastal locations. It’s typically found as small evergreen shrubs or trees, with simple leaves and small, pleasantly-scented flowers that appear in spring - followed by small fruits.
We stock three varieties of Elaeagnus currently, all of which boast slightly different leaf colours and characteristics. All are excellent as back of border shrubs or for hedging, although they can take 5 -10 years to reach their ultimate height - of around 2.5 - 4 metres.
This variety of evergreen hedging shrub is relatively hardy and suited to well-drained soil, either in full sun or shaded areas. It makes an excellent choice for low-maintenance hedging or for inclusion in flower beds and borders. As with all of the plants that we sell, all Elaeagnus hedging plants come from our family-run nursery in Kent, which means you can rest assured that they will have been cared for well. This means they will thrive when you come to planting them in your home or landscaping project.
We stock a range of Elaeagnus throughout the year including Elaeagnus Ebbingeii, Elaeagnus Ebbingeii and Elaeagnus Pungens Maculata.
