Species Rich Mixed Native Hedging

Species Rich native hedgerow mix – This is the Hopes Grove Nurseries original tried and tested native hedgerow, the most species rich and diverse native hedge mix you will find from any nursery (in the words of Gardening Which?). We have sold hundreds of thousands of these plants since 1992 to customers all over the country with great results. Species Rich native hedges can be maintained at any height from 120cm up to several metres, they are best trimmed once a year at any time from August onwards, preferably during winter. And if you’d like to leave some of the persistent berries/fruits for the birds during the cold months.

This wide-ranging mix of plants has been curated by our founder and MD to give a fine selection of flowers, berries, fruits and autumn colour. Plus they will grow together to make a dense and prickly stock proof barrier that will encourage all manner of wildlife to your plot.

Full details of the species included in our Species Rich Hedge Mix may be found at the bottom of the page (we don’t label the individual species), simply plant them in a randomized mixture for a natural look that will quickly become a haven for wildlife. The prices shown for our mixed native hedging is per plant and we sell them in multiples of 25.
