Ivy Clematis and Climbers
Hedera Gloire De Marengo (also known as the Canary Island Ivy) is a climbing evergreen valued for its glossy evergreen foliage that looks great in all seasons. The three lobed foliage is light silvery green with bold creamy coloured edges and mottled with differing variations of cream and silvery green. Often used as an evergreen climber, these plants are strong growing and self clinging but they are equally suited as lustrous ground cover, especially for more difficult shady areas that need brightening up. They can also be grown up a framework to make an attractive and colourful Ivy screen that will take up very little space at ground level.

Hedera Gloire De Marengo
These are easy plants to grow and low maintenance, perfect for scrabling over walls and fences where their ariel roots will be self clinging. The flowers are insignificant in winter but make a great source of nectar for pollinating insects when few other flowers are available for them
Hedera Gloire De Marengo grows well in all soil types but do prefer good drainage, the foliage can be damaged by very cold winds so a little shelter is best although the plants will grow back the following season. A versatile plant that will grow to 6 metres. Grow them in sun or partial shade, the Canary Island Ivy will grow in dense shade but much of the leaf colouration will be lost.
