Parthenocissus Tricuspidata Veitchii (boston Ivy) Clematis and Climbers
The Boston Ivy or Parthenocissus tricuspidata Veitchii is a fast growing deciduous climber with handsome, glossy green foliage that can vary between three-lobed or deeply toothed leaves. In Autumn the foliage turns to dramatic colours of red and purple making for a spectacular display on a wall or supports of any aspect including north or east facing. Not a climber for small gardens or laid back gardeners as it needs plenty of space and will keep growing without regard for other plants if not kept in check. Grows well in all soil types if well drained.
