This tough and adaptable grass like perennial has leathery evergreen strap like foliage and makes superb ground cover. From August onwards large numbers of wiry purple flushed stems emerge, clothed with bright violet-blue flowers making a stunning late season display.
Lily Turf is really useful to bring colour to the front of beds and borders when many other plants are past their best, they love shade so are ideal for underplanting around larger plants and they can look particularly effective in formal garden designs such as courtyards as they always seem to look good. Larger groups make very striking and ornamental ground cover, perfect for cheering darker and more difficult corners of the garden.
Grow Liriope Muscari in well drained soil in partial or even full shade. They will grow in full sun provided the soil does hold at least a little moisture during the Summer.
