Hydrangea macrophylla Together (You and Me) Mophead Hydrangea
Another of the fabulous new Hydrangeas from the ‘You and Me’ series, Hydrangea Together has large round flowerheads made up of many little fully double flowers, green and pale dusky pink at first in June before deepening in colour to a rich soft pink. As Summer progresses the flowers continue to change through deep pink and finally a deep rosy red by the end of the season, right into December! Few shrubs give a show of flower for such a long period, Hydrangea Together is a bushy and rounded shrub growing to just 100cm when mature, perfect for beds and borders, larger patio pots or as a stunning little flowering hedge.
Hydrangea Together is easy to grow in sun or partial shade, they prefer a rich moisture retaining soil that doesnt dry out too much in Summer, thinnner and lighter soils would benefit from a good amount of organic matter being well mixed in the hole at planting time and these glorious shrubs enjoy a good mulch being applied during Spring to get the best from them, this is especially the case for younger plants. Prune the old flower heads off in spring, reducing the plants back to a strong bud and removing any weak or crossing stems. We recommend adding Rootgrow when planting all Hydrangeas to give them the best start.
