Mock Orange Starbright Hedging
Philadelphus Starbright (Mock Orange)
This eye catching variety has extra large creamy white flowers, produced in large numbers during May and June set against the purple tinged new foliage. Like all Mock Orange shrubs the flowers fill the air with their delicious fragrance.
Plant these hardy shrubs anywhere where their prolific scent can be appreciated, close to a seating area or nearer the house if possible. They make good back of border plants and are ideal for for natural/wilder areas of the garden too. All Mock Orange varieties may be used as an informal flowering hedge or screen, with timely pruning or trimming straight after flowering the new growth will ensure a good show of flowers the following year.
Philadelphus Starbright shrubs are easy to grow, they are suitable for any soil type that doesnt get waterlogged during wet spells and they do well in sun or partial shade. When planting we recommend adding Rootgrow to the planting holes to give them the very best start.
Our Starbright Mock Orange plants are supplied as sturdy 2 year old potted specimens, ready to plant directly into their final positions and should produce their first flowers in the Spring after planting.
