This is a really useful, elegant and tough evergreen shrub, mounds of deep green, pointed glossy foliage are complemented by the understated clusters of fragrant creamy white flowers during late winter and early spring. A royal Horticultural Society award winning shrub that will cheer darker corners or act as a good structure plant. Once established they are very low maintenance and drought tolerant. This is a male variety and so is also ideal for pollinating any female Skimmia shrubs that you may have in the garden.
Skimmia confusa Kew Green will make a very nice mounded low hedge up to 100cm high, or even taller ground cover where its lustrous evergreen foliage will keep your plot looking smart all year.
