Exochorda are grown for the beauty of their paper white flowers, borne on long arching branches during late spring. ‘Snow White’ is a larger flowered variety, the saucer shaped flowers emerge from pearl-like buds, each one made of 5 petals. A tough and hardy deciduous shrub that grows perfectly well in most soil types including chalk where it does much better than its more weakly constituted (and smaller flowered) cousin Exochorda ‘The Bride’. Slowly growing to 4 metres.
