Pieris japonica Prelude
This lovely compact variety grows to just 90cm making it ideal for confined spaces, container growing (using ericaceous compost) and even as evergreen flowering ground cover. Masses of tiny white lily-of-the-valley flowers open from March until May and are much loved by many kinds of pollinating insects. A colourful flush of new Spring growth starts with shades of orange red and bronze before ripening to dark green. A lovely compact little shrub that looks neat and tidy all year bringing welcome structure to the garden long after the flowers have passed. 90cm x 90cm.
