Briza Media (Quaking Grass)
The widely planted Quaking Grass forms a tight mound of semi evergreen purple-tinged green leaves. From late Spring the plant erupts with nodding flower stems carrying large numbers of perfectly formed locket shaped flowers, purplish at first, fading to buff, that move in the slightest breeze. The highly ornamental flowers are very good for drying.
Makes a lovely container specimen, looks very effective planted with other grasses, and indispensable for dotting in between the bright colours of the herbaceous border. Briza Media will colonise difficult dry sunny banks and could be added to a wild flower area. 90cm x 30cm.
