Carex Testacea (Sedge)
Soft hairlike mounds of pale olive green at first, then subtly changing through the season to colourful and warm orange-bronze, this colour being retained right through the winter months, small brown flower spikes appear in mid Summer.
Like our other varieties of Carex, this is a versatile little plant that can associate well with other grasses of different colours and shapes, they are perfect for mixing into the front of borders or in containers. These little grasses look good all year and come into their own as Winter approaches and many other plants die down for the winter, Carex Testacea keeps the interest going with its warm colour and soft flowing form.
Another easy grass to grow, they do well in sun or partial shade. Any well drained soil.
