Liriope Muscari Big Blue Grasses

Liriope Muscari Big Blue (Big Blue Lily Turf)

Lily Turf makes a super evergreen ground covering clump, the deep green leathery leaves of Liriope Big Blue bear many showy spikes of violet-blue flowers, held on wiry purple stems from August onwards, often continuing late into Autumn.

Liriope Big Blue are great for adding Autumn colour to the front of beds and borders, they love shade so these tough plants can make a perfect, colourful display beneath larger plants, in larger swathes they make very effective ground cover turning darker and more difficult corners of the garden into an oasis of colour each Autumn.

These are tough plants growing well in partial or even full shade, they prefer a well drained soil. They will also grow in full sun, provided that the soil retains some moisture during the drier months of the year.
