Bergenia Harzkristall Ground Cover
Bergenia Harzkristall (Elephants Ears)
A gorgeous and unusual pale flowered form of Bergenia, the flowers are white with just the merest hint of pink appearing during the early Spring months. The leaves are smaller than most Bergenia but this variety is just as tough making first class ground cover that is strong and tough but without becoming invasive.
As a rough guide planting Bergenia Harzkristall as ground cover – 4 plants per square metre is adequate with a little patience, 6 will give better coverage and 9-12 will make a weed supressing carpet very quickly.
