Thuja are large fast growing evergreen conifers some varieties of which are broader growing whilst others have a more architectural upright habit.They make a superb dense hedge with the golden or green aromatic foliage and can be grown in most sites including chalky and moist soils. Thuja are a good alternative to Leylandii as they are slightly slower growing and will regenerate when pruned back to older wood.
An attractive evergreen conifer with an upright bushy habit which is easier to maintain than Leylandii. The glossy dark green foliage makes for a splendid hedge or screen.
Thuja Plicata Atrovirens or Western Red Cedar is a fast growing upright conifer with aromatic green foliage. It is a good alternative to Green Leylandii as it is easier to maintain.
Smaragd is a very tough compact variety of Thuja which grows into a narrow conical small tree of architectural and aesthetic value with the stunning bright green foliage.
