Carex Morrowii Gold Band Grasses
Carex morrowii Gold Band (Goldband Japanese Sedge)
This beautiful evergreen grass has handsome strap like leaves growing into a dense low mound of foliage with a striking combination of deep green, banded at the edge with a rich golden colour. A great choice for ground cover that is well suited to some shade, they prefer a little moisture in the soil to be at their best, poorly drained soil is also fine. Carex Gold Band looks great in all seasons and needs hardly any maintenance. Plant them at the front of borders, use them to cheer up damp, dark corners or add them to a year round container.
