Molinia Arundinacea Transparent Grasses

Molinia arundinacea Transparent (Tall Moor Grass)

Molinia arundinacea Transparent Grasses are taller, hardy grasses. These super plants have slender flat green leaves, turning a beautiful coppery brown in Autumn and Winter before dying down. In Summer huge upright green panicles rise from the foliage, which develop delicate, airy transparent flowers covered with tiny brown beaded seed heads that last well into Autumn.   As the year progresses the whole seed head darkens, making for beautiful architectural displays in autumn.

Perfect for cutting down maintenance in your garden and providing graceful height and interest. Molinia arundinacea Transparent Grasses look wonderful as part of an architectural planting scheme, in a gravel or Mediterranean style garden, or as a centrepiece in a large courtyard garden, and are incredibly striking in swathes along a sunny border adding gentle elegance to your planting schemes. Plant with other ornamental grasses, with Rudbeckia and Verbena for a natural look, or at the back of a border with Campanula, Nepeta and Lychnis planted in front of them.
