Sesleria Grasses

Sesleria (Moor Grass, Balkan Grass)

These are tidy mound forming evergreen grasses, while they arent particularly stunning in their own right it is rather hard to overtstate how useful they can be in the overall design of a garden. Perfect for softening the edges of paths and other areas or punctuating different sections of planting and like most Ornamental Grasses they are an ideal foil for other brightly coloured plants.

Easy to grow and unfussy, they thrive in sun or partial shade. All soils are suitable, their only dislike is to be waterlogged in Winter.

Sesleria are evergreen grasses, they need very little maintenance other than a ‘comb’ through the old foliage removing dead leaves in late winter before growth begins again in Spring.
