Stella Cherry Fruit Trees. Large fruited self-fertile variety producing very reliable crops of juicy dark red cherries in July.
A deciduous tree with a bushy habit and hardy throughout the UK. Cherry Stella has bright green foliage in spring and summer, produces beautiful white flowers in April and May and will reliably provide crops of juicy and sweet dark red fruit in late July.
It is a versatile tree that is suited for fan training or can be trained into a bush or pyramid if required. This popular tree is a recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Cherry Stella will thrive in moist well drained soil in a sunny position and is hardy through the UK. It will achieve a height and spread of 3 – 5 metres ultimately.
It is a self-fertile variety and so does not require another variety for successful fruiting.
Grown on ‘Colt’ semi-dwarfing rootstock and sold as a sturdy 2 year old bare root bush tree, available in season from November until March – the ideal time for planting.
