Agastache Blue Fortune Ground Cover

Agastache Blue Fortune (Giant Hyssop, Korean Mint)

Beautiful spires of bottlebrush shaped lilac-blue flowers over a long period from June until October, held above mid green peppermint scented foliage, this is a great sensory garden plant. The flowers are extremely popular with beneficial insects such as bees and butterflies, the seedheads that follow are always popular with birds, especially finches. This is a great plant for a sunny border, they give a nice vertical accent to beds and look especially good when planted with grasses or in a mediterranean theme.

As a rough guide planting Agastache Blue Fortune as ground cover – 4 plants per square metre is adequate with a little patience, 6 will give better coverage and 9-12 will make a weed supressing carpet very quickly.
