Aster novi-belgii Chatterbox (Michaelmas Daisy)
This compact and neat Michaelmas Daisy comes to life late in the season from August onwards with a profusion of attractive lilac pink flowers. A welcome late season splash of colour for the front of beds and borders at a time of year when most perennials are starting to fade. these easy little plants are perfct for a cottage garden look and being compact they make excellent late season container plants.
Any good garden soil in sun or partial shade.
As a rough guide planting Aster Chatterbox as ground cover – 4 plants per square metre is adequate with a little patience, 6 will give better coverage and 9-12 will make a weed supressing carpet very quickly.

How to grow Aster Chatterbox
Position: Full sun, partial shade.
Foliage: Semi evergeen Herbaceous perennial, foliage dies down in late Autumn, fresh new foliage emerges in Spring.
Soil and site: Moist soil, poorly drained, bog gardens, next to ponds.
Flowering time: August-October
Growth rate: Moderate
Ultimate height and spread: 40cm x 40cm
Hardiness: Fully Hardy
Aftercare: Water regularly after planting and through the first season until established. Cut down to ground level in late Autumn.
