Astrantia Buckland Ground Cover
Astrantia Buckland (Masterwort)
Tiny and immaculate dusky pink flowers encircled by silvery white bracts which on close inspection have beautiful green veinations. A truly beautiful addition to mixed borders, this is an earlier flowering variety that could be mixed with other Astrantias to give a longer season. They make excellent cut and dried flowers.
Any reasonable garden soil in sun or partial shade.
As a rough guide planting Astrantia Buckland as ground cover – 4 plants per square metre is adequate with a little patience, 6 will give better coverage and 9-12 will make a weed supressing carpet very quickly.
