For the best results with Hosta Patriot ground cover, plant them in sheltered areas with partial or full shade.  As perennials they will die back every Autumn and start to grow again by late Spring. Plant them in rich organic soil with good drainage and keep the roots moist. One common difficulty in Hosta care is slugs, which leave unsightly holes in the leaves. A light scattering of sand around your plants will help keep those slugs at bay!

How to grow Hosta Patriot

Position: Partial shade, dappled shade, full shade

Foliage: Perennial

Soil and site: Fertile, moisture retaining & well drained

Flowering time: July to August

Growth rate: Fast

Ultimate height and spread:  Height to 45cm, width to 45cm (Clump forming, so spread will grow over time)
