About our Green Privet Hedging
Green Privet hedges are a semi-evergreen hedging shrub, with fragrant clusters of white flowers that are produced during the summer months. These plants are extremely popular with pollinators, particularly butterflies. Common privet hedges grow extremely well in the shelter of suburban town gardens, so are a popular choice for many homeowners. Once established, Green privet hedges are virtually indestructible, and remain a perfect addition to your garden for years to come.
Green Privet (Ligustrum ovalifolium hedging) will usually remain evergreen all year round, although in colder months or in areas where they are most exposed the plants may drop their leaves. This is most likely during cold snaps but is perfectly normal behaviour for the plant. Provided they remain well-watered, the common privet hedge leaves will reappear in the following spring, like most deciduous plants.
