Cytisus Boskoop Ruby or Broom shrubs are very easy to grow, they don’t succeed in waterlogged soil but are otherwise unfussy. Grow in full sun for best results.
To keep the plants bushy, prune immediately after flowering back to buds or new shoots close to the base of the flowering stems (but not into the old wood). Not only will this maintain a good shape, it will also ensure a bumper crop of flowers the following Spring.
