Cytisus praecox Allgold (Broom)
One of the most familar of all Spring flowering shrubs, during May and June the gently arching green branches become smothered with bright yellow pea like flowers to provide a spectacular display. A tough and easy shrub that is very drought reistant once established. Useful for adding a burst of Spring colour to any sunny bed or border. 150cm x 150cm.

Cytisus praecox Allgold or Broom shrubs are very easy to grow, they don’t succeed in waterlogged soil but are otherwise unfussy. Grow in full sun for best results.
To keep the plants bushy, prune immediately after flowering back to buds or new shoots close to the base of the flowering stems (but not into the old wood). Not only will this maintain a good shape, it will also ensure a bumper crop of flowers the following Spring.
