Euonymus Goldy (Euonymus fortunei Goldy) Japanese Spindle
A stunning new Euonymus variety, Goldy as the name suggests is pure bright gold in colour, unlike other varieties there is no green in the leaf. The new shoots start off mostly green but soon mature to its rich colour that will brighten up any part of the garden or patio arrangement. Growth is dense and bushy and this evergreen simply looks great all year round.
Euonymus Goldy is great for filling space in the front of beds and borders, especially against the foliage or flowers af dark coloured plants. They make super ground cover plants needing little or any maintenance and this would be a show stopping low hedge of 30-50cm high (by planting 3-5 plants per metre) that could contrast with the colours of other Euonymus varieties or different species from our list of low hedging plants, the hedging colour combinations are almost endless!
Euonymus Goldy is a very easy plant to grow, they succeed in any normal soil that doesnt get waterlogged in wet spells and may be grown in sun or shade although the best foliage colour will come out with some sun. This is also a good seaside plant.
