Rootballed Hedging

Rootballed plants are generally larger/bushier field grown plants and are lifted by our specialist rootballing machine with the soil and immediate root system. The rootball is then wrapped in hessian to contain the soil, (which may be left on at planting time as it is biodegradable) Rootballed plants are great for instant impact and are great value for money as they are a low input crop (No pots or compost needed!) Rootballed plants are available from October to early May, the correct time for planting.

All of our rootballed plants are delivered by a pallet courier (usually on a 17 tonne lorry requiring good access). We have a heavily subsidised pallet delivery charge of just £19 to mainland England and Wales, to make this pay and keep our charges as low as we can our minimum order value for orders including Rootballs is £200 excluding VAT. (Which can be made up from any combination of plants from our website).

We also offer a vast selection of our popular free delivery pallet deals, if you can accommodate the number of plants that fit exactly onto a pallet then we can pass on the savings with a discounted price and free delivery! If you need anything else from our entire range, regardless of the size then we can add that to your order with free delivery.

We offer substantial quantity discounts with a huge selection of deals and special offers but we are always happy to quote for much larger quantities, in the unlikely event that you find equivalent (and probably imported!) plants cheaper, we will not only beat that price but also supply you with Great British plants! We proudly grow our own Rootballed plants here on the nursery so you get genuine direct from the grower pricing, fresh plants and prompt delivery - a winning combination! Why not email us today with the numbers and sizes of plants you are interested in and we will get back to you with a great price, or simply call us on 01580 765600.
