A very popular variety of Quince being relatively hardy but requiring some shelter. The beautiful late spring large pink blossoms are follwed by generously sized pear shaped crops harvested in late October. The sharp flavour makes a superb quince jelly.

QUINCE MEECHES PROLIFIC (CULINARY) QUINCE TREE-Cydonia oblonga MEECHES PROLIFIC
Considered to be one of the most popular Quinces the Meeches Prolific produces large pear shaped crops after the eye catching large pink blossoms which appear in late spring. The Meeches Prolific Quince fruits are still highly scented late in the gardening season which makes them a welcome addition to any garden and enjoy being planted against a wall in a warm and sunny spot and although relatively hardy if grown in the very North of Britain will require some shelter. The tart flavour lends itself to making a delicious Quince jelly when these fragrant fruits are picked in October.
POLLINATION: The Quince Meeches Prolific tree is self fertile but as with most self fertile fruits will produce heavier more sustainable crops if planted with other varieties.
We supply Quince Meeches Prolific as a one year old (maiden)-link to plant size guide bare rooted Quince tree grafted onto a Quince C rootstock. This will make an upright tree with an ultimate height of approximately 10-12ft.
