A delightful crisp and juicy red eating apple the Discovery has hints of strawberry in the flavour making it a popular choice of eating apple. Apple trees make a great addition to the garden, not only are they productive but also have very attractive blossom in late Spring.
It is an easy to grow early harvesting variety and disease resistant making Discovery Apple Trees an ideal choice for a family garden as the fruit itself tastes at its best when picked and eaten straight from the tree as it becomes ripe in August through until September.
If unable to eat straight from the tree then popping them in the fridge will extend the shelf life whilst still keeping the delicious flavour.
The Discovery apple is from pollination Group 3 and perfect for planting with either or both of our other varieties Cox’s Orange Pippin or Bramleys Seedling for pollination.
Sold as top quality bare root trees, grafted on to Rootstock MM106 producing a mature tree of around 4 metres, they are suitable for gardens of most sizes.
