All new fruit trees will develop more quickly if the immediate area at the base (a circle of 0.5-1 metre) is kept completely free of competing weeds and grass for the first few years. By adding a layer of bark chippings or similar the soil moisture will be conserved, and the young trees should establish more quickly.

Our Pear Trees for sale are all grafted onto a semi dwarfing Quince A/Quince C rootstock and should produce a young tree of 3-4 metres after 10 years making them suitable for most gardens.

We offer a selection of popular, tried and tested varieties including ‘Concorde’ and ‘Conference’, if you only have space for a single pear tree its good to know that the varieties we sell are all self-fertile and do not require a second pear tree to bear fruit.

We also sell a wide range of other top-quality fruiting trees including Apples, Plums, Quinces, Cherries, Figs and Mulberries, all available for delivery in the natural planting season from November until March.
